Who we are
The food people grew up on, in the quantity a business needs.
Rumors Global Distributors started with a problem every African grocer in Ontario knows. The food our customers actually want — Ijebu garri that still crackles, elubo that turns properly, palm oil that has not been cut with anything — was the hardest food to get hold of. What arrived was late, short, or not what was ordered. And when it went wrong, nobody picked up the phone.
So we stopped waiting on other people’s containers and filled our own. We buy at origin, load the container ourselves, and clear it into Canada in our own name. When it lands in North York it comes onto our floor, gets packed under our label with a batch code and a best-before on every bag, and sits on a pallet with the buyer’s name on it.
There is no middle layer between the mill and your shelf. That is the whole business, and it is why our prices hold and our stock is what we say it is.
What you see on our floor is what you drive away with. No substitutions, no surprises at pickup.

Filmed on our own load- You collect in person. Nothing ships blind. Nothing goes missing between our floor and your van.
- Every order is itemised and signed for. You get an invoice with weights, unit prices and a total before you pay.
- Photo ID on orders over $5,000. Matched to the name on the payment. It protects you as much as it protects us.
- Full import paperwork on file. Commercial invoices and customs clearance for every container. Ask and we will show you.
- Come and look before you buy. Walk the aisles, open a bag, check the moisture. We would rather you did.
- Six days a week, real hours. Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 11 pm, someone is on the floor.

Container-lot buying
Staples bought at origin and brought in by the container, cleared through Canadian customs and received straight onto our floor.
02 / Pack
Own-label packing
Garri, yam flour, cassava flour, beans, rice, egusi and ground spices packed on site from 4 lb to 50 kg, batch and date marked.
03 / Hold & release
Trade collection
Stock held palletised and released against a signed invoice at our loading area, six days a week, to you or your named driver.

Everything we hold, with wholesale pricing.
Prices are per unit at wholesale. Minimum order is 10 units per line item. Sizes marked “carton” or “box” are sold as full cases only — we do not break cases.
Pricing moves with the exchange rate and the landed cost of each container. Ask for a current trade sheet before you build a purchase order — we will confirm live pricing and what is on the floor that week.

Send your list
Email or call with the items and quantities you want. Minimum 10 units per line. We confirm what is in stock and what is on the next container.

We invoice
You receive an itemised invoice with weights, unit prices and a total. Orders over $5,000 require government photo ID from the person collecting, matched to the payer.

Settle the invoice
Bank transfer, e-transfer, certified cheque or cash. Card payment is taken in person at our counter, chip and PIN, at the time of collection.

Collect and load
Your order is picked and palletised for a booked collection slot. Bring your own vehicle, or ask us to arrange a van or truck. Goods are signed for on release.
Collection
Come to the warehouse. Every order is picked up in person.
We do not ship and we do not deliver. Every buyer, or a driver named by the buyer, collects from our floor in North York. You are welcome to walk the warehouse and see the stock before you order.

We already print and fill our own bags. If you are a grocer or distributor who wants your own brand on the shelf, we can pack the same staples into your artwork, from a single pallet run upward.
